This summer we spent 10 day's in South Carolina it was a Blast! We went to Myrtle Beach for the week of 4th of July.While we were there we took a day trip to Charleston. The kids had never been to Charleston so they really enjoyed going. We had a wonderful and relaxing time on vacation it was hard to leave. When we got back I repacked and went back to my mother's to help her pack up her Home of 20yrs so she could move into a New home.I was there 2weeks and it was all work and no play.But it made me glad to get home.I only wish I had taken Pictures of all those boxes we packed it was unreal at how many we packed! Now, it is back to band practice and camp and getting ready to start the new school year next week. BOY, the Summer has gown so fast!

"ALL DRESSED UP"

Sylvi and Jon dressed and ready for this years Band Banquet! It is a semi-formal to formal event. And it is something they look forward to every year. This year was Jon's first time going and he was so excited to get to dress up! They had a great time and Sylvi even won the musician award for the 10th grade! (This was voted on by all the band members) So she was excited as well. They looked so pretty and handsome that I had to take lots of pictures after all if any of you have teens you know it is not every day you can get a picture of them much less dressed up! my babes are growing up fast!

"SWEET 16"

Sylvi turned 16 on Monday . It is so hard to believe it seems like yesterday we were celebrating her 1st birthday. Time really does fly bye in a moment. We had a family celebration on monday all thought as you can see even though school is only 4day left she had homework and test to study for.(Chemistry,and Algebra 2 what for no one!) I think the Birthday presents help to ease the pain. Of course Cake and Ice cream did not hurt!

"APPLE"

Sylvi Took These Pictures Of Apple The Horse At My Mother's . The Horse Pasture Runs Up To Her Back Yard And Apple Will Come When You Call Her Up To The Fence. I Thought She Did A Great Job At Getting These Pictures.

Our Visit

During Our Spring Break Visit To South Carolina We Were Able To Visit My Aunt Sybil And See Her Beautiful Home On The Lake.Above Are Picuture I was Able To Take Of Sylvi, And Jon With Their Great Aunt. And I Was Also Able To Get A Shot Of My Mother With Her Twin Sister.

INDUCTION INTO THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Sylviann was inducted into The Senior National Honor Society this week this picture was taken after the ceremony I was not able to get Jon's picture but took it that morning at home. He also was inducted into the J.R.(see below).This is Sylviann's 4Th year in Honor society. Her first in Senior. I hope I will be able to take more pictures at awards day they are both receiving awards.

Jon was inducted into the J.R. National Honor Society this week and this is a quick picture of him before we went to the ceremony! He will be getting the certificate at the awards day so I hope I will be able to get pictures of that at school.

Welcome Home Marley!

Were to begin! This morning Sylvi and I set out to do some shopping in town and Saw that the humane society's and the Rescue groups were having their annual Adoptation day so we stopped to just look! Well, we ended up falling upon a litter of Golden Retrievers with the herding rescue and Sylvi having her love for animals and my weakness got one! And she is so cute! Sylvi named her 'Marley" and she is so far living up to the name.

"Mcwane Science Center"

This year the State Envirobowl meet was held at the Mcwane Science Center in downtown Birmingham. So The whole family went even Jones and Jon took full advantage of the center while we were there and enjoyed every minute playing and learning science. Above in the picture Jon is in a submarine made from Micheal Angelo's designs there was a whole floor of exhibits just of his designs it was amazing . And worth the long day!

"State Envirobowl 2009"

Thursday Sylviann and her Envirobowl team competed in the State meet. They won Third Place after competing against 14 schools from all over the State.Their team is the only all girls team and the first and second place teams were all boy's. It was along day
we left home at 5:30am for the two and a half hour drive to Birmingham to be there at 8am. They competed until 4pm and awards were given to the schools that placed 1st,2nd, and 3rd. We were very proud of the girls achivement! In the picture above is Sylviann,Chelsi,Elizabeth,and Darcy.

"SPRING HAS SPUNG"

Finally, after along bout with winter weather signs of Spring are showing. It is turning warmer and everything is budding or starting to bloom blooming.

Snowing in the Pines!

This Morning We awoke to Snow on the ground.So, I grabed the camera and took some pics. One good thing about Alabama Snow is it is usually melted by Noon time!

A Night At the Ringling Bros.!

For Family Night We went to see the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. It was a wonderful Show and We all enjoyed it.
I was only able to get a quick shot of Jon in our seats and Jones in Line to go in to the Show. But Sylvi was not going to have her picture taken! She was not to happy about the Animals being used
in the Show ! But that is our family Activist. I was glad she did not see the protesters or She would have wanted to join in! Jon on the other hand really enjoyed the show and was really into the people
being shot out of the rockets. Even Jones enjoyed the Night!
